HP Cartridge Error Troubleshooting

Due to a recent firmware update from HP, some users may encounter an error message when using certain re-manufactured inkjet cartridges.

Currently the issue is limited to the following cartridge numbers: HP 934XL / 935XL, 950XL /951XL or 970XL / 971XL

and the following printer model numbers: OfficeJet Pro 6230 series, OfficeJet 6810, 6820 series, OfficeJet Pro 6830 series, OfficeJet Pro 8610, 8620, 8630, 8640, 8660 series, OfficeJet Pro X451dn/dw, X476dn/dw, X551dw, X576dw.

If you are receiving an error message while using a Cartridge Warehouse of San Diego printer product please consult this troubleshooting advice from HP.  Following the instructions in the link will allow users to alter the firmware update and continue to use re-manufactured ink cartridges.
